The Hunter Valley Gardens is a must see when visiting the Hunter Valley region. Explore 60 acres of magnificent gardens, sensational sights, colours, fragrances and adventures! 

There are 10 amazing themed gardens including the most popular Storybook garden, Indian Mosaic, the elegant oriental garden, rose garden, waterfall garden and much more. Over 8km of pathways, more than 100 kilometres of underground irrigation, 6000 trees, 600 000 shrubs and 1 000 000 ground covers have been planted and nurtured to create a legacy for generations to come!

The Hunter Valley Gardens village offers award-winning restaurants, an Irish Pub, Roche Wines and a boutique shopping village.

SNOW TIME IN THE GARDEN 20 JUNE – 12 JULY

Chill out these school holidays on our 14 x 35 metre Real Ice Skating Rink, 25 metre Ice Toboggan and play in our man-made Snow Play Zone! There will be lots of fun for the whole family with games, Husky dogs, warm beverages and hearty food. Plus see the amazing ice sculptor carve something incredible on the weekends. WINTER ROSE PRUNING 13 - 31 JULY

Ever wonder how it’s done? We have 35,000 roses to prune, let us show you how! With

demonstrations and talks throughout the day, be sure you are caring for your roses correctly.

HUNTER VALLEY RUNNING FESTIVAL 26 JULY

It’s not everyday that you get to run through world famous gardens, historic homesteads,

international golf resorts and of course, some of the most famous wineries in Australia. Mix that with a huge selection of races, a friendly country race crew, loads of prizes and you have an event not to be missed.

SPRING FESTIVAL OF FLOWERS 1 - 30 SEPTEMBER

The Spring Festival of Flowers is an event designed to immerse visitors in a visual and sensory experience they will never forget. There are over 100,000 annuals planted throughout Hunter Valley Gardens along with fabulous entertainment, activities, attractions, demonstrations, talks, tours and workshops.

ROSE SPECTACULAR 10 OCTOBER – 15 NOVEMBER

Take the opportunity to see Hunter Valley Gardens blooming with over 2 million blooms,

throughout the annual Rose Spectacular. See 35,000 rose bushes in over 125 different varieties. The majority of roses are grown at Hunter Valley Gardens are of the fragrant variety, after all, a rose without perfume just isn’t a rose! Visit our website closer to the date for the full program.

SPRING CRUIZ-IN 18 OCTOBER

Share the passion with veteran and vintage, classic and commercial, hot rods, street machines and bikes. CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SPECTACULAR 6 NOVEMBER – 26 JANUARY 2016

Now in its 9th year, Christmas Lights Spectacular has become a family tradition and it’s on again with millions of Christmas lights on display! With sound and light displays, live entertainment and a special appearance from Santa, this is an event for all ages. Also up until Christmas, have your photo taken with Santa by a professional photographer. Special night rates apply. Closed the 25th December.
